Overview

Lead the Finance Companies Team

Take ownership of all UK Holding and Financing Companies (FinCos), including month-end submission and filing of Statutory Accounts for all entities.

Lead the annual impairment review process for all subsidiary undertakings. In case of impairment triggers ensure a robust impairment review process is undertaken.

Controls Transformation: Ensure any control gaps identified are understood, and action plans to remediate are put in place. Review processes to ensure continued compliance with the controls framework.

Lead the Intercompany Operations Team

Oversee the buy/sell operations. This includes working closely with FP&A on the Gross Margin Analysis.

Take ownership of the Management Fee and Royalties Model and ensure timely and accurate Intercompany cross charges.

Ensure the Statutory Accounts and accounts of other entities are prepared to a high standard and oversee the audit of the accounts.

Work closely with the Intercompany Controller (via dotted reporting line) on the implementation of the Strategic Intercompany Roadmap, driving step-change improvement in global intercompany processes and, by extension, local statutory reporting.

Other responsibilities:
Team Management: The Finance Controller CHQ Specialist Functions will have 3 direct reports, with a total team size of 9. As this role is newly created, building a team vision and ethic will be key to success, as will supporting the team with deliverables and career development.

Balance Sheet excellence: across all entities ensure balance sheet excellence, making sure reconciliations are in line with policy, balances appropriately supported, and reviews and sign offs documented.

Support on the Group transformation programmes

RTR Transformation: Going live on Blackline in 2023 as part of the RTR transformation programme. This programme also includes the Treasury entities transition to Shared Services. Support the Project team to ensure a smooth go live and transition period.

Drive efficiency and process/control improvement agendas across all areas, leveraging shared services, automation opportunities and/or improved ways of working.

Requirements:
Qualified ACA or ACCA with 10+ years of post-qualified experience.

Experience with a FTSE listed business

Experienced in the preparation of Statutory Accounts under UK GAAP an IFRS

Controls experience and intercompany experience is essential
