Job Description

Location: London ( 3 days/ week)

My client is looking for anAPI Developerfor a well-established insurer, based in London ( 3 times/ week). You will be reporting directly to the Head of Architecture. This is a great opportunity to be part of a company that is undergoing great transformation in their current IT estate, capitalising in modern tools and platforms.

This is a brand-new role where you will create high and low level AWS API designs.You will also provide estimates for developing, testing, and delivering new AWS APIs. You will also create new AWS APIs and collaborate with other teams to ensure the timeline is followed. Stakeholders you will engage with will be fromDevOps, Release, Platforms, and Security teams to ensure best practices are followed for API deployment.

This is a role requiring someone open to learning new technologies. In the long term you may focus less on AWS and more on other cloud and relevant technologies.

Necessary experience in:

  • API development.
  • AWS technologies.
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Whole SDLC.
  • Agile methodologies.

Important: Willingness to learn new tech and focus less on AWS in the long term. Training and support will be offered.
