What To Expect

Ensure robust application of an Integrated Management System (IMS) across all functions within Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations through the creation of and execution of an Internal Audit Schedule that will cover all key work processes and consider all applicable clauses within IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO14001, while complying with Internal Audit procedures.

This role will help improve the risk management and control environment by working in partnership with stakeholders, providing advice, challenge and expertise and ensuring that issues are escalated to an appropriate level and resolved in a timely manner.

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
  • Review governance framework and documentation of Special Operations’ infrastructure and operations, identify risk and gaps in both documentation design and implementation, issue related report to process owners and perform required follow ups to ascertain required action is taken in timely manner.
  • Provide a first-class audit service to stakeholders through the assessment of risk and the evaluation of control processes and procedures, identifying risks, issues and developing solutions in partnership with the business.
  • Execute audits by gathering, documenting and analysing information and evidence on the existence of risks and the effectiveness of control measures (by interviews, observations, file review, risk analyses, reconciliation, organisational analysis and diagnosis) in accordance with approved process and best practices.
  • Follow-up all pending audit issues raised internally and/or by third party auditors to ascertain required action is taken in timely manner.
  • Manage and coach a team of auditors to ensure that assignment(s) and audit objectives are achieved while enabling the auditors to achieve their learning objectives.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
What You’ll Need

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential
  • Strong understanding of key auditing standards and their application, experienced Lead IATF 16949 Auditor
  • Experience and knowledge of Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental management systems and audit process
  • Experience in performing audits independently from beginning to end, including reporting and presentation.
  • Strong conflict resolution as well as influencing and negotiating skills necessary to resolve issues involving staff, stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ability to function in a time-sensitive environment where decisiveness, problem solving ability, planning and implementation skills are key behavioural components.
  • Excellent presentation skills to articulate complex information/ideas relating to strategic and tactical issues.
  • Highly developed management/leadership skills sufficient to lead/motivate.
  • Good skills in analytics, report writing, interview techniques, advisory, presentation, personal effectiveness, time management and project management.
Desirable
  • Strong ability to think and operate both at a strategic and tactical level, where process enhancement or creation is sometimes necessary, and able to translate this understanding into a tailored, meaningful and concrete plan for the individual auditor or member of the management team.
  • Ability to work across multiple tasks at the same time liaising with multiple departments.
  • Experience of supervising a multi-skilled team and delivering targets
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred.
