About The Role

Our research over the past 50 years has led to significant shifts within automotive, helping the motor insurance industry understand underwriting risk, control claim costs and inform future strategies. With the pace of technology advancements accelerating, our ability to efficiently and effectively deliver meaningful research is critical.
The new role of Insurance Researcher will be responsible for the research and reporting of motor insurer strategies, market evolution (including regulatory and Government stimulus), opportunities and challenges; providing crucial intelligence to inform business strategy and projects.
Join us as a insurance market subject matter expert and you’ll play a key role in shaping strategy that paves the way for safer roads, while helping motor insurers provide the best solutions for their customers.
As the Insurance Researcher your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Planning and reporting of complex insurance related developments, trends and key subjects to inform and shape research projects and business strategy
  • Delivering presentations to internal stakeholders on insurance market trends to help inform and shape business strategy
  • Support the authoring of technical reports for the purpose of communicating research status and outcomes to the industry and stakeholders
  • Facilitating the communication of research activities to a range of stakeholders, both internal and external , delivering insightful and meaningful outputs to inform strategy and help member insurers prepare for changes on the horizon
  • Record keeping of all relevant information and reporting

As the Insurance Researcher your skills and experience will include:

  • Highley experienced in research methods and techniques, ideally gained from working with UK insurers, brokers or managing general agent (MGA)
  • Knowledge of the motor insurance ecosystem
  • Insight reporting for the purpose of informing and directing business strategy
  • Collating varied and opposing stimulus including articles, reports and data, translating them into intriguing and digestible output

You are an excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex information into easily digestible copy, enabling it to be understood by all stakeholders. You have a natural ability to integrate with cross functional teams, develop and build relationships and have a flexible and creative approach to overcoming challenges. Naturally inquisitive, you are persistent and prepared to devote time and energy to thoroughly researching topics, taking enjoyment from developing new insights.

Salary: Dependent on skills & experience, plus competitive benefits package which includes a 10% non-contributory pension, sick pay, competitive annual leave increasing with length of service, TechScheme Vouchers, plus more!
Location: Thatcham, Berkshire with the option to work remotely 2 days a week
Working Hours: 8.30 - 16.30 Monday - Thursday and 8.30 - 15.45 Fridays
