Insurance Customer Service Advisor Job in Ferndown

Dovetail Recruitment are pleased to be working with an independent business in Ferndown, assisting them in the search for their next Insurance Customer Service Advisor. This company are different to the typical ones in their industry. Their full focus is on providing the best customer service for their clients, as well as a great environment to work in with their small but supportive team. This is not a target driven sales role, this is a position where you will create great relationships with your clients and work in a great atmosphere.

But don’t just take our word for it – our client has a very low turnover of staff, and one of these two positions is due to the retirement of a long serving member of staff. The other is due to the current team member progressing further within the business. If you love providing a great service to customers, this could be the perfect Customer Service Advisor role for you. They also have great hours and holiday entitlement too, all helping towards a great work/life balance.

What you’ll be doing as Insurance Customer Service Advisor:

  • Taking new enquiries from customers who are interested in purchasing home insurance or renewing home and motor insurance. (Remember this is not a targeted sales role! Your focus will be the satisfaction of the customer)
  • Assisting customers with their queries and working through the process with them from beginning to end, understanding what they need and want
  • Preparing and providing quotations to customers
  • Assisting your customers with their claims, and any midterm adjustments
  • Completing all documentation and sending it to the customer while also updating company records

Salary & Benefits:

  • An annual salary of circa 25k
  • 25 days holiday
  • Hours of Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm with a 1-hour lunch
  • Discretionary work from home days (maximum of 20 per year)

Experience and Knowledge Required for the Customer Service Advisor:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience in an office-based role
  • Attention to detail
  • Organised
