Account Handler Based in the Stockton office Monday to Friday option of being able to work from home 40 days per year Hours - 9am – 5:30pm (Fri 4pm finish) Flexi start between 7-10am (work 8 hours) means you can leave from 3 if starting at 7am Salary - £28-32k dependant on experience + bonuses Great benefits including: -

  • Acknowledge correspondence with insureds
  • Preparing quote requests
  • Requesting official claims summaries from insurers (historical & current)
  • Liaising with Claims & Technical for updates
  • Getting subs from clients
  • Updating/chasing insurers and London Market Team
  • Acknowledging/answering client queries
  • Inbox management if out of the office (prioritising/actioning) – handovers for return
  • Taking calls and handling/taking messages as appropriate
  • Inputting Quotes into Risk Manager and requesting check from Broker Support
  • Preparing Q&Cs/Client docs/EOC’s etc.
  • Analysing documentation (from insureds or insurers) to check it is in order – wordings, endorsement etc. with comparisons
  • Liaising with Broker support for processing
  • Arranging meetings/checking availability between broker and client
  • Creating Risk Overviews in advance of client visits
  • Handling MTA’s and Queries wherever possible (with input from the Broker)
  • Cross-sell other products or raise awareness of opportunity to Broker
  • Raise issues with the Account Exec – Large Claim, Acquisitions, Contract Service problem. Do this by looking at the risks 3-6 months before renewal Key Requirements
  • Can identify the needs and demands of a client’s commercial business.
  • Strong communication skills (telephone and email)
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Ability to drive new business
  • To understand the principles of Commercial Insurance.
