We’re looking for an Insight Analyst Awards to join our team in London as part of our Awards function.

We are currently looking for an experienced Insights Analyst to innovate and deliver reporting and dashboards capabilities into the Awards function of the business. The Insights Analyst will work closely with the Awards & Insight Team to unlock the commercial potential of the rich data sitting behind the Lion Awards.

LIONS organises and brings together the world’s greatest creative communicators from around the globe. Cannes Lions: The International Festival of Creativity - has been championing creative excellence since 1954 with the goal of providing a global destination and the definitive benchmark for creativity that drives progress. The LIONS portfolio includes Eurobest, Dubai Lynx and Spikes Asia, all of which provide a forum for celebration, learning and networking in those regions. We sit on data which we believe has the potential to unlock the creative community’s engagement with LIONS.

The role-holder will bring an ability to create both insight/analysis and will work to create a foundation to create BAU and new insight for Lions and contribute to the development of new products and deepen customer engagement. The role-holder will contribute to the development of original IP that fuels our content, membership and marketing as well as fuelling commercial and advisory products.

Key Responsibilities

The analyst will be a critical resource to:

  • Develop new analytical models and reports, testing various hypothesis to prove concepts to aid business decisions, develop new products

  • Support teams in engaging our customers by providing insights based on customer performance

  • Contribute to the creation of content-led marketing and content creation by identifying trends in advertising and marketing based on our data set

COMMERCIALLY LED / PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Participate in ideation, research and brainstorming activities to identify new and bold innovations in product development and evolution, drawing on insight and analytics expertise to create unique and new perspectives on our customers and their creative work

  • Participate in delivering projects, initiatives, and strategies to improve and deliver products based on insight, and ensure all activities are executed on time and to a high quality

  • Working across Awards customer and product dataset on ongoing and new projects around customer segmentation and analysis, awards product and customer performance reporting, collecting data-driven insights and that informs our customer strategy

INSIGHT / REPORTING and DATA ANALYTICS

  • Provide actionable insight and deliver the business objectives, combining various data sources to provide analysis of customer and product behaviours and overall business trends

  • Enable insight-powered customer engagement by collating and analysing information from a wealth of data and providing a clear coherent story - outputs may be presentation decks, dashboards etc

  • Using your strong investigative skills, interrogate and interpret data and communicate insights and recommendations on a range of business lenses

  • Develop scalable and efficient insight and analysis and transform data from multiple sources to obtain a unique insight for the business

  • Help teams make the best content by building understanding trends in advertising and marketing, communicating complex results/techniques in a way that is easy for a variety of stakeholders to understand

  • Proactively troubleshoot issues in data accuracy in both the database environment and within reports

  • Carry out ad hoc analysis and communicate findings in a concise and timely manner

  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards and metrics to help the business understand and optimise the Awards function, marketing activity and product development through a customer-centric lense

Your Experience

  • Bachelors / Masters in a quantitative degree (Statistics, Operation Research, Systems Engineering, Decisions Sciences, Applied Math, Economics, etc.)

  • 2+ years of generating insight/analysis in a commercial environment, for example working in Marketing, CPG (FMCG), Retail, Banking, Consulting, B2B etc.

  • Commercial finance background preferred, highly numerate and excellent attention to detail, sound grasp of analysis and modeling techniques

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Visualisation fundamentals & tools e.g. Tableau

  • Experience in manipulating large data sets, handling and interpreting quantitative data and mining data from multiple sources

  • Experience in Ability to take the initiative, work independently & be curious

  • Experience collaborating with other people, both technical and non-technical and Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to simply communicate complex analysis

  • Highly organized, with solid project management skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities and work calmly and with accuracy under pressure

  • A team player
