Gem Scientific- part of the SLS group, a leading distributor of laboratory equipment, consumables, and niche test kits, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Inside Sales to join our team in Batley, West Yorkshire. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

About the role:

We have identified the need for an inside sales manager who will support our current customer base. You will be the key contact for numerous long-standing Gem Scientific customers responsible for enhancing the customer relationship.

Our ideal candidate will have successful sales experience, a track record in meeting goals, strong administration skills and attention to detail, and good written and verbal communication.

Key responsbilities of ourInside Sales:

  • Communicating with existing customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities
  • Cross-sell and up-sell additional services and products
  • Manage all opportunities through the company CRM, and close deals to secure revenue
  • Actively make sure that customers are satisfied with their purchases
  • Clearly communicate customer requirements internally to ensure customer and company expectations are met
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to implement the company’s sales strategy to achieve company objectives
  • Produce an action plan for sales activity that is to be regularly updated
  • Understand each customers buying process and execute a defined sales process while adapting to each customer’s situation
  • Ensure individual key performance indicators are met

What we’re looking for in ourInside Sales:

  • Experience working in an inside sales role
  • Able to prioritise your workload and time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience with Sage (ideal but not essential)
  • Ability to use own initiative to identify and develop relationships with key decision makers in target organisations
  • A strong team player capable of working towards individual and team targets
  • Hard working, self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Experience in the industry would be ideal but is not essential
