Type of contractWho We AreDETS, part of the Suez Group, are an established commercial laboratory operating across the UK, Ireland and Europe servicing a range of markets including environmental, construction, waste, water and fuel industries. The Inside Sales Executive will support sales managers is building client quotations, generating opportunities and selling products/services via the telephone primarily. The Inside Sales Executive manages customer relationships and generates leads for the laboratory. They are accountable for delivering sales targets and for growing sales amongst customers and support the Services Account Manager to achieve associated sales targets.Who Are We Looking ForContract type: PermanentWorking Pattern: Full timeWorking Hours: 37.5 Monday - FridayLocation based: ConsettSalary: £20,000 - £26,000 + 9% on target bonusReporting to the Sales Director, the Inside Sales Executive will have the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Issuing high quality quotations, following up and closing opportunities by managing customer contact, matching benefits to needs and handling objections
  • Work closely with Sales Director (e.g. sales performance reviews, personal performance reviews, target setting), Sales Managers, Operations (eg. for more complex sales), Finance (e.g. regarding debt collection) and CLO’s (e.g. customer quotes) and ensure CRM is routinely used to manage sales information
  • Achieve sales targets and financial metrics according to the sales plan, working with Outside sales on managing Tier B/C, identifying small customers with the potential for growth
  • Develop and implement call plans comprising new customers, existing customers, lapsed customers to generate new sales opportunities
  • Identify and close opportunities within a given territory (typically >200 Tier C customers)
  • Respond to sales enquiries routed from the lab and / or inbound enquiries, engage with the customers over the phone, qualify requirements and manage opportunities to closure
  • Building relationships with new customers
  • Developing existing customer relationships to increase loyalty and improve customer retention. Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional Suez services / products
  • Proactively identify and reactivate Tier C customers that have lapsed trading
  • Follow-up on recent orders to identify additional opportunities
  • Participate actively in regular sales meetings
