St Mary’s Hospital Campus, Portsmouth

This full-time Specialty/Specialist Doctor post will be based at our OPMH inpatient unit at Brooker Ward, The Limes, St James’ Hospital in Portsmouth. The post holder will have support and supervision from an inpatient OPMH consultant psychiatrist.

Our OPMH inpatient unit is well supported by four trainee doctors who work across our community and inpatient OPMH mental health unit.

Depending on the candidate’s experience, the applicant would be considered for Specialist Doctor (former ‘Associate Specialist’ role) as per the new Terms and conditions of the service.

St Mary’s Hospital (less than a mile away) has weekly half a day teaching comprising a case conference, journal clubs, GP/FY doctor teaching as well as Balint groups. Newly appointed candidates will be invited to join these teaching activities as part of their CPD.
