Following a recent re-structure of their Platform Services team and several internal promotions, a unique opportunity has arisen for Infrastructure Project Engineer to join their award-winning team. Responsibilities Continually develop and maintain an expert understanding of systems /services and their interaction with the business. Build and support on-prem and hosted including eCommerce applications and supporting systems. Research and evaluate new technologies to increase the performance and security of the on-prem, hosted, and cloud infrastructure including eCommerce applications and supporting systems. Work closely with the security team to deliver and maintain security solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with occur within the on-prem, hosted, and cloud infrastructure including eCommerce applications and supporting systems. Monitor, support and maintain the on-prem, hosted, and cloud infrastructure including eCommerce applications and supporting systems in accordance with the Major Incident and Problem Management processes. Comply with all applicable UK and Ireland Data Protection and ePrivacy legislation and report non-compliances were identified to the Data Protection team. Skills Full Stack Infrastructure knowledge o Windows Server 2012/IIS o Microsoft SCCM / Intune / Autopilot o Cisco Meraki / Cisco firewalls o Splunk o Office 365 Ideally some scripting knowledge i.e., PowerShell, Terraform, ARM Hosting technologies - CDNs, Load Balancers, and WAFs Desirable Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud technologies Exposure to Systems Automation or Infrastructure as Code. Awareness of CI/CD Pipelines Experience Strong understanding of ITIL processes. Familiar in working in/managing a DevOps culture. Experienced in incident management and escalation processes. Relevant Industry certification and/or demonstrable industry experience Most have worked on large infrastructure projects and solution engineering, not just provided BAU Infrastructure support. Our client has recently transformed their Head Office into a hot-desking and conferencing center with all employees now classified as remote, with an expectation that they will attend the office 1 - 2 days per week for collaboration, team meetings, and company events.
