We have almost 100 staff relying on our IT systems to power solutions and ensure high performing PR executives have everything they need to meet business demands and achieve goals. We’re seeking an experienced Assistant / IT manager who has the technological skills to make us even more efficient. This person will support the current IT management and wider teams by analysing current systems and assets, recommending and implementing solutions and upgrades, and providing training.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of network maintenance, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge, having an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth. We are seeking someone whose work experience includes project management with the proven ability to prioritise, handle risk, control costs, adhere to timelines and manage project teams. You will have working knowledge of in-house computer networks and the ability to explain complex systems and the changes made necessary to identify upgrades, along with web development, virus removal, dealing with security breaches, experience in cloud architecture, leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.

Duties and responsibilities: -

  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
  • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
  • Evaluating risk, developing network recovery and backup processes
  • Assuring that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting information systems to operate effectively.
  • Implementing security of the network, data and its storage and communication systems.

Qualifications required: -

  • BA in IT, IS or Computer Science or a Business related university course, HND IT, Networking Communications Systems, Computer Science or Digital Communications is acceptable.
  • Two to five years of experience in IT operations
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows, service desk and network administration
  • Proven record of problem-solving and project management skills is usually appreciated.
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking

Technical skills: -

  • Windows platform 10/11
  • Apple Mac support
  • Adobe product support
  • Windows server architecture
  • Office 365 config and admin portal experience (Back-end)
  • Office 365 support Word/Excel knowledge
  • Mobile device Management
  • End point protection (AV and Patch management)
  • VPN’s

Desirable skills: -

  • MCSE
  • Account software and project flow experience
  • Understanding of Cyber essentials & ISO 27001 and other compliance requirements such ISO 14001 and 9001.
  • Presentation and Writing Skills
  • Understanding of studio dynamics and web site operations
