IT Manager – Hessle – Competitive Salary Principal IT are delighted to be working with The Humber Bridge Board exclusively to assist with the recruitment of an IT Manager. The Humber Bridge was officially opened by The Late Queen Elizabeth II on the 17th July 1981 and provides the essential connection across the Humber Estuary enabling 30,000 vehicles to cross each day and operates 24/7. HBB has three key functions; collect the tolls, keep the traffic moving and maintain the bridge and assets. This is a great time to join The Humber Bridge Board as they are currently going through a full refurb with the offices been updated for the first time since 1981. HBB (Humber Bridge Board) is currently procuring a supplier to replace the current Hybrid Toll Collection System with a new Free Flow Toll Collection System. This will include the design of a Free Flow Toll Collection System including all roadside toll collection equipment and back-office system. It should be noted that all of these systems will be maintained by the appointed supplier, however HBB would expect the appointed IT Manager to provide knowledge and guidance internally. The Humber Bridge Board are looking for an IT Manager to join their team, this role you will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for the direction and management of the IT Department to achieve the objectives and strategy of HBB. They currently operate a number of IT systems and requires a range of IT and technology software, and hardware applications, which include readily available commercial platforms as well as more bespoke systems which are maintained by specialist suppliers. This involves both on site and cloud based server. Key Responsibilities: Developing and implementing new IT strategies, policies, and procedures to align with the Humber Bridge Board objectives Overseeing technology infrastructure and operations. Taking the role as the main point of contact for the critical function of all information technology systems, networks and software applications run across the business. Supporting the management and maintenance of the virtual desktop infrastructure and office 365 working environments, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and optimised for performance. Experience Required: 4 years IT management experience Strong Communication Project Management skills (ability to prioritise tasks, manage resources and deliver results within specified timeframes) The ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and efficiently. Technologies Used: Google Suite & Microsoft Office Experience in overseeing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure & Office 365 IT products including Microsoft Windows Server, Core Infrastructure Server Hardware, Virtualisation, Exchange/Office 365, Azure Active Directory/Azure Active Directory Windows 10/Windows 11 Troubleshooting Firewall Troubleshooting Network Troubleshooting (VLANs, DNS, DHCP) Virtualisation Products (Hyper-V & VMware) The Package: If successful the IT Manager will be offered a competitive salary and 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, company contributed pension scheme, Free bridge toll when working.
