Information Skills Trainer (Training and Data Quality)

At BCU Health Board we believe that data helps save lives and improve outcomes for patients. Working with doctors and nurses to understand what matters for their patients the Information Department has developed analytics that help our clinicians make better decisions and improve their services. If you want to be part of something that helps improve patient care for you and your family then we have a number of vacancies that could be just what you are looking for.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is commencing the implementation of the Welsh Community Care Information System (WCCIS). WCCIS is an electronic system that supports mobile working for our community staff, (Mental Health, CAMHs, Community Nursing, Community Childrens Services and Therapy Services) which will be integrated across Health and Local Authorities throughout Wales.

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our small training team as an Information Skills trainer. For data to be trusted for decision making it needs to be high quality, with users educated to collect robust, accurate data in real time. This critical post will provide direct support to system users, ensuring that they are educated to give of their best, ensuring good quality data capture and ensuring that they understand the impact of their actions upon patient pathways and how that data is used further downstream.

Experience and a working knowledge of Patient Administration Systems would be an advantage as would knowledge of RTT pathways and unscheduled care data processing. We are looking for a self-starter, motivated to make a difference to patient care and you will need to be numerate, curious and with a passion for helping others. Good communication skills and an engaging style that ensures buy-in from users will stand you in good stead for this role.

We offer a full induction and training package, flexible working hours and good future career opportunities. We have won awards for our work and only last year came runners up in the UK team of the year award from our professional body. But most of all we are proud of our fantastic team ethic, all pulling together to make a difference.

If you think this is the opportunity you are looking for to progress your career and want to hear more about joining our friendly and welcoming team then please contact the following for more information.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
