The Recruitment co are currently recruiting for Industrial Door and Loading Bay Engineer on behalf of our client based in Skelmersdale.Role Overview
  • Carrying out service, maintenance and repair of industrial doors and loading bay equipment, including roller shutters, sectional doors and speed doors at various sites.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault finding checks to identify and prevent malfunctioning errors
  • Carry out any necessary repairs, i.e., electrical, mechanical or hydraulic repairs to restore industrial doors and loading bay equipment such as scissor lifts to full working capacity
  • Report any serious ’beyond repair’ malfunctioning doors or loading bay equipment to the Facilities Manager
  • Coordinate weekly/monthly /quarterly routine maintenance and inspections of all loading bay equipment and industrial doors
  • Repair or replace Motor/ Electrical door control panels
  • Follow all Health & Safety compliance - LOP’s, SSOW’s as per Company regulations
  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, environmental and welfare at work
  • Please note that tools will be provided for the successful candidate. This list is not exhaustive and the position holder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate within the position as required. The Company reserves the right to amend duties and responsibilities in response to changing business circumstances.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Previous practical and demonstrable engineering experience, servicing, repairing carrying out routine maintenance of industrial doors (sectional/speed) and loading bay equipment (dock shelters, dock levellers, wheel locks etc., (essential)
  • Industry standard qualifications - EN16005 or BS7036 (essential)
  • Valid manual driving licence (essential)
  • IPAF & MEWP certified/trained (essential)
  • NVQ L2 - Door, Gate & Shutter Systems (Installation & Maintenance) (desirable)
  • IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ideally IOSH certified
  • Experience compiling detailed servicing reports
