Job DescriptionResponsibilities and Expectations:
- Lead the indirect tax function including setting goals and measuring results.
- Working closely with the Group’s external providers.
- Review indirect tax calculations, assisting in the development of processes that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the indirect tax team (currently 2 direct reports).
- Identify tax issues and understand tax technical matters related to SUT/VAT/GST-type taxes.
- Stay up to date on the latest indirect tax legislative developments and develop a strategy to manage the impact.
- Develop and execute a strategy to manage indirect tax controversy including ASC 450 positions.
- Participate in meetings with the business teams, legal, technology and accounting to share information and resolve business and tax matters.
- Continuously learn about Corsair, new products, and new revenue channels to identify/understand the tax issues and communicate tax requirements to multiple internal departments.
- Stay ahead of changes related to indirect tax legislative developments and make timely changes.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- 10+ years’ indirect tax experience in a high-growth industry and/or a Big 4 accounting firm
- Technical expertise in VAT/GST with potentially taking over all indirect matters globally including U.S. Sales and Use tax.
- Ability to apply technical tax rules in a practical business environment.
- Proactive self-starter who is comfortable identifying tax issues, forming and proposing practical solutions, and following through to ensure proper reporting, implementation, and documentation.
- Ability to implement strategy and work with IT teams to solve issues.
