About Our Client

The client is a Public Sector organisation, currently growing its HR team and restructuring to that of a Business Partnering model

Job Description

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • The development and coaching of the People Services Directorate, and Inclusion Team (consisting of an EDI Manager and Well Being Manager)
  • Develop, in partnership with the organisation, a devolved model of responsibility for EDI which will drive cultural ambitions and objectives
  • To provide subject-matter expertise and drive the EDI and Well Being agenda as a credible and strategic partner, drawing on technical insight, data and the professional standard
  • Ensure the EDI and Well Being approach, policy, interventions and procedures are aligned to the future EDI and Well Being strategy and vision
  • Chair the EDI Steering Group, using the feedback and insight from the group to support the EDI Board and its development and implementation of the EDI strategy, targets and measures to support the overall delivery
  • Provide relevant EDI and Well Being management information and analysis, highlighting workforce trends and issues to develop appropriate interventions
  • Develop strategies and interventions with both the Talent and Workforce planning team, and Organisational Development team to ensure our full employee life-cycle is inclusive and bias-free

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Significant experience leading on EDI in a unionised environment
  • Demonstrable experience of consulting, influencing and engaging leadership on EDI
  • Strategic thinking and implementation of EDI theory, application, legislation and policy across the UK
  • Experience of leading a holistic ’whole person’ approach to Well Being which focuses on awareness, prevention and sustainable recovery, not just responding
  • A high level of self-awareness, emotional intelligence and aptitude for conflict resolution and dealing with sensitive issues
  • Excellent project management skills to lead initiatives from planning to implementation and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, training delivery and coaching skills, with the ability to adapt style and delivery approach to meet the needs of the audience
  • Ability to take complex information and provide clear advice to the relevant stakeholders

What’s on Offer
