A vacancy has arisen with one of TLT’s longstanding clients who is looking to appoint a Legal Counsel into their head office in London. We will consider applications from qualified lawyers upwards of 1 year + PQE with experience in corporate/commercial law, commercial contracts experience or previous legal counsel experience.

This is a permanent opportunity, offered on a flexible working basis to accommodate remote and office working and paying a competitive salary.

Role Responsibility

The successful candidate will work alongside a small team comprising a senior legal professional, two paralegals and administrative support to oversee the legal aspects of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Giving accurate and timely counsel to business areas in a variety of legal topics
  • Assisting in the review of legal documents, contracts, special conditions
  • Researching and evaluating different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
  • Drafting and solidifying agreements, contracts and other legal documents
  • Proof reading documentation for external circulation
  • Liaising as required with external parties

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a qualified lawyer with upwards of 1+ years PQE in a similar setting, either from a legal practice or in-house background. Some previous experience and working knowledge of commercial contracts is essential. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate outstanding communication skills and a high degree of professional ethics and integrity.

While previous legal counsel experience is preferred, it is not essential.
