Are you a qualified Legal Counsel looking for an exciting business to join and represent? At Nonacus Ltd we are seeking an In-House Legal Counsel to provide a full range of legal services to executive members on new laws, existing ones, legal rights, relevant issues, ensuring compliance with internal controls and other formalities that would impact the functionality of the business.

A UK Technology Fast 50 winner at the Deloitte awards, the business is experiencing excellent levels of success and growth, winning the Midlands regional award and finishing third in the UK overall. The business is now seeking the dedicated services of an In-House Legal Counsel to further support all legal documentation within the company and advising on all legal aspects.

• Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights and to create a template file structure for regularly used agreements across the company.
• Support the day-to-day business activities through support/review of NDA (CDA), MTA, supplier agreements, investment agreements, collaboration agreements, distributor agreements, IP licencing agreements, HR contracts, property law contracts.
• Manage and monitor efficiently legal budget to utilise outside legal expertise when required.
• Give accurate and timely counsel to the business in a variety of legal topics (employment law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.)
• Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust.
• Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
• Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organisation.
• Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.

You will be a fully qualified Legal Counsel with proven experience in a business environment. With excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures, you will be comfortable creating business templates for regularly used legal documents and supporting the company wide use of these documents.

You will be commercially minded and have sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information.

We specialise in the use of cell free DNA to inform clinical decisions with a particular focus on post-treatment cancer surveillance via liquid biopsy.
