You will be joining a successful and growing Technology Risk team, who are looking to consolidate year on year growth and deliver a step change in the size and reach of our practice across the Infrastructure, Government, and Healthcare (IGH) market. The work of IGH Technology Risk involves providing consultancy, assurance including IT Internal Audit and advice to clients on their IT systems and processes. Our focus is on IT risk management, IT controls testing, IT independent programme assurance, emerging technologies and the technology and data aspects of regulation. This work is delivered through stand-alone assignments, consulting projects and as part of internal audit engagements. We also work closely alongside other technology specialist teams such as our IT Advisory, Security and Data Analytics teams.

The Role

As a specialist within our IGH Technology Risk practice, you will assist in the delivery of both our IT Internal Audit and Advisory work. The role will include:
  • Delivery of IT risk and assurance services.
  • Delivering specific technology and data projects.
  • Delivering high-quality written deliverables (including reports).
  • Building and managing excellent client relationships across a range of clients.
  • Understanding KPMG’s service offer across Technology Risk and identifying opportunities to sell further work, as well as supporting with sales activities such as proposal writing and assisting with client presentations.
  • Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG, with a focus on close working with our wider non-IT internal audit practice, and wider IT Advisory areas.
  • Contributing to practice management, e.g. training, knowledge management.
  • Taking responsibility for your own professional development by agreeing goals and objectives and taking steps to achieve them, seeking support where necessary.
The Person
  • A strong interest and understanding in how technology supports organisations to be successful, current and future trends.
  • An understanding of the various different types of IGH clients and why technology is important to them.
  • Working towards relevant professional qualifications and a demonstrable commitment to personal development.
  • An understanding of core business processes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • An understanding of IT risks and controls.
  • Experience in delivering work within tight timescales, to budget and to a high quality.
  • An interest in the UK IGH sector and in working with these types of organisations.
Qualifications
  • Ideally degree level qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Working towards or holding relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISA, ACA, CIMA, ITIL, Prince2, TOGAF).
