This new exciting new and strategic in the global internal engagement team will be pivotal in helping GSK build a world class internal engagement muscle. Reporting into the Change Comms, Best Practice and Planning leader, this super-collaborator will work with internal engagement leaders across the company to identify, prioritise, build and deliver best-in-class and thought leading internal methodologies, tools and frameworks to make IE work more effective. The role will also be key in helping leaders and managers across the company improve the way they communicate and help them become more self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following
  • Collaborates with others to identify and prioritise where biggest performance benefit will be felt from having one way of doing things, building and managing a plan to deliver against KPIs
  • Provides an outside in perspective by monitoring and keeping up to date with best practice trends on internal communication and engagement
  • Creates tools, frameworks, best practice approaches and advice to support agreed activity
  • Owns, and continuously evolves a repository of tools, and frameworks (including but not limited to culture change, trusted advisor skills, campaign planning, guidance and use of measurement methodologies and tools, governance and planning)
  • Builds and delivers capability building activities across internal engagement community
  • Drives regular knowledge and experience sharing through creating the right forums to share knowledge and insights (e.g. monthly knowledge sharing sessions, organising external / agency speakers on priority topics for the team) including regular listening to customers (CGA)
  • Creates and contributes to comms upskilling activities for leaders and managers across the company
  • Monitors application and use of frameworks, ensuring they support the upskilling of the team, create efficiencies, and ensure the team is implementing world class practices
  • Ensures visibility and alignment between internal communications best practice and wider CGA priorities
  • Works within and contributes to a dynamic, fast paced team

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Experience in internal communications
  • Experience in employee engagement beyond comms a benefit, but not mandatory
  • Experience/knowledge of best practice in the industry, either gained through working in internal communications within a major company with a diverse internal audience, or within an agency focused on internal or change communications
  • Understanding and experience of capability building approaches and how to drive uptake of new processes, tools and frameworks
  • Expertise in advising or working in global organisations to drive knowledge sharing, tools, frameworks creation in Communications – with a focus on internal
  • Deep understanding of best practices in employee communication, monitoring trends and innovations in the discipline, and applying those to the capability building
