Digital Services are looking for 2 enthusiastic individuals, ideally with an NHS background to join them as Digital Services Training and RA Admin Officers, working within a team who are responsible for the scheduling of training in the use of Patient IT systems; systems such as the Patient Administration System (Medway PAS), Nottingham Information System (NotIS) and Webhiss (medical office) as well as the allocation of Smartcard and NUH Patient IT system access; such as the SCR (summary care record) and Choose and Book as well as access for future IT systems as part of the Electronic Care Record program of work. They will be also involved in the access preparation for a number of Projects. These will include:


  • Outpatient Clinical Noting via Medway PAS
  • Inpatient Nursing documentation via Nervecentre
  • Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) via Nervecentre
  • Patient questionnaires and communication via DrDoctor

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will deal with support calls assigned to the Digital Services Training and access team, schedule training dates for delegates, allocate clinical system access and provision smartcards to NUH staff.

They will also provide and coordinate 2nd line support working in liaison with other Digital Services teams when responding to and resolving queries placed by customers to the Digital Services Helpdesk, where necessary ensuring problems are monitored and that escalation is invoked as appropriate and monitoring the team’s performance according to SLA’s.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GSCE (A-E) or equivalent in English and maths.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office including Outlook, excel and word.
Desirable criteria
  • Achieved an IT computer qualification (ECDL or equivalent).
  • Awareness of ITIL Service Management methodology.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Provided administrative support to managerial and team level.
  • Experience of a customer support environment.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience within a training, registration authority or change management environment.
  • NHS background with an understanding of IT systems and services within a large Trust.
  • Knowledge of HR policies or procedures

Communication and relationship skills

Essential criteria
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Customer focused and able to create, build and maintain relationships.
  • Demonstrates ability to cope with unpredictable behaviour.
  • Observing strict confidence when processing HR personnel documentation and policies
Desirable criteria
  • Demonstrates knowledge of ICT related policies e.g. Data Protection

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

The system will run a check against the key security features within your documentation. The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.

  • Transfer of information: If I have previous NHS service - I consent to the transfer of my Electronic Staff Record (ESR) data between this and other NHS Trusts. I also consent to the Occupational Health Departmentconfidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post.   • Disclosure and Barring Service: Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incur a cost dependent on the level of check required (£45 for enhanced and £28 for standard).
