Hygiene Operative

An exciting position has become available for a full time Hygiene Operative to join a friendly team based in Bolton. The successful candidate will earn £9-10 per hour. Core working hours will be Friday to Sunday 5pm to 6am.

Role Requirements

  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills
  • A team player but also self-motivated and have a high degree of initiative
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure and time constraints
  • There will be an amount of manual handling involved so physical fitness and flexibility are important
  • Excellent time management, planning and decision-making skills
  • Tenacious with a ‘can do’ attitude

Your Strengths

  • Experience within a hygiene environment would be advantageous.
  • You will have a proactive approach to problem solving.

Role Responsibilities

  • Required to complete cleaning schedules which will include processing equipment and production lines to meet the required standards, measured through regular testing/sampling.
  • Carry out all cleaning tasks and visual inspections as outlined within the sites Cleaning Instruction Cards (CIC)
  • Follow the company processes and site operating procedures in relation to food safety, hygiene, allergen control and maintain good manufacturing practices (GMP) throughout the shift
  • Follow the clean as you go policy and maintain high standards of personal hygiene
  • Dismantling of equipment for deep cleaning purposes
  • Maintaining hygiene standards in all production areas
  • Completion of post cleaning checks and documentation whilst always ensuring compliance with food safety standards, quality management systems, customer technical standards
  • Always adhere to health and safety requirements
  • Working as part of a team
  • Responsible for maintaining microbiology standards
  • Being confident in identifying and challenging any unsafe practices
