Marsden Building Society have an exciting opportunity available for a Hybrid Mortgage Packager / Underwriterto join our team based in Nelson, Lancashire. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return our Hybrid Mortgage Packager / Underwriterwill receive a competitive salary of £20,280 - £22,212 per annumplus benefits.

About TheHybridMortgage Packager / Underwriter Role

As a Hybrid Mortgage Packager / Underwriter you will oversee the Mortgage Origination Journey of all Direct and Introduced mortgage cases received by the Society. You will deliver a first-class service to our customers by ensuring all systems and processes in place are followed and you will be alive to recommending change to improve performance or reduce risk.

You will have an understanding of the complex legislation around mortgage regulation, including MMR and MCD and apply this to all areas you manage whilst also using your knowledge and experience to achieve your full potential.

What are we looking for in ourHybridMortgage Packager / Underwriter?

An ability to provide excellent customer service is essential alongside a passion to do more and enjoy both the challenges and rewards that come from these interactions.

We are looking for our next team member to have GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above), CeMAP and a good level of previous mortgage experience including holding a mortgage mandate that includes the requirement to apply discretion.

You Should Also Have
  • Experience of customer service
  • Good communication and written skills
  • Experience of dealing with queries
  • Problem-solving skills
  • A broad understanding of FCA, MCOB and MCD, Money Laundering and Data Security
  • A willingness to work some Saturday mornings if required
