We currently have an exciting opportunity for an exemplary communicator, to join the new marketing and communications team in the Health, Wellbeing & Inclusion (HWI) division at Derbyshire Community Health Service NHS Foundation Trust, rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The services within the division include; integrated sexual health services, children’s 0-19 services, health psychology, GPs and oral health promotion.

This position will be ideally suited to somebody looking to start their career in marketing and communications, and who is enthusiastic about learning as well as taking on the day-to-day communications tasks.

As part of the new team, your IT and organisation skills will support the development of the new systems and processes, and working towards the marketing and communication needs of the services within the division.

In this exciting role, you will work alongside the Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion (HWI) marketing and communications team, to support the smooth running of the service.

If you are self-motivated, highly organised, have interest in public health communications and pay attention to the detail, then this could be the role for you.

Do you have:
  • excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • exemplary customer service skills (internal and external stakeholders) to maintain effective professional relationships.
  • knowledge of the general principles of marketing and communications practice or are working towards developing your knowledge and skills in marketing and communications.
  • Good general knowledge of IT and excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages.
  • working knowledge of inputting social media and website content for an organisation/ business.
  • experience of prioritising your own workload and managing expectations.
Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
