NG Bailey Facilities Services are recruiting for an experienced HVAC Shift Engineer to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance in accordance with the contract requirements on Mechanical Services and associated systems on the prestigious Wembley Stadium Contract.

The HVAC Shift Engineer will have experience working in a corporate, critical and/ or stadia environment and provide exceptional service in a client facing role. They will be a fully qualified Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

The Shift is Continental Days & Night (7-7) with requirement to support for events carried out during the year at the Stadium.

Responsibilities:
  • A key success factor in the HVAC Shift Engineer role is communication, particularly in reporting plant problems/failures that may impact on the client’s business. It is essential that the details of all plant problems/failures are communicated to Shift Leader immediately.
  • Ensure that all plant and BMS checks are completed on time, and all problems found are recorded and communicated to the Shift Leader / Site Supervisor
  • To carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
  • Be proactive regarding preventative maintenance and good site husbandry.
  • Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
  • To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the mechanical aspects of the PPM and plant.
  • To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipe work and associated mechanical systems or as directed.
  • To co-ordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with mechanical aspects of the PPM schedules.
  • To respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with the mechanical services aspects of the contract as required.
  • Repairs of mechanical systems, controls and associated systems, assist other trades as necessary.
  • Support the reduction of energy across site, with this being at the forefront of your thinking during routine and reactive maintenance.
Requirements:
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 - Refrigeration and Air Conditioning 6187 or similar
  • City & Guilds 2079 F Gas Regulations
  • 3- 5 years experience in a similar field (critical or stadia environments)
  • Experienced in the electrical and mechanical aspects of general building Planned Preventative Maintenance(PPM) schedules
  • Competent working knowledge of Electrical Systems, Building Management Systems, Lighting Control Systems, Heating and Ventilation Systems, Emergency Generators & UPS
  • Authorised Person – Mechanical (Desirable)
