Are you a dynamic HR Manager looking for an exciting new challenge in an innovative business? Our client is a large manufacturer and leader in their field with facilities just outside Telford. Leading an established people team and reporting to the board of directors, you’ll have the opportunity to make your mark at every level of the business.

An HR Manager who has the drive to make things happen, the experience to ensure best practice, and the vision to make improvements would gain a high degree of job satisfaction in the position.

Your Role:

Leading and developing the people team, you will be responsible for the management and monitoring of all HR functionality across the business, at a strategic and operational level. As a crucial part of the management team, you will act as the strategic lead on people issues, presenting and making recommendations for HR initiatives to the Board.

As well as taking responsibility for core HR activities, you will proactively manage health, safety and environmental matters, and lead training and development across the business.

Specifically, you will:

· Ensure compliance with employment and health and safety legislation and codes of practice, regularly reviewing and updating all policies and procedures

· Develop and implement company people strategy in line with company-wide strategy

· Recommend, implement, and review HR and development initiatives

· Provide advice and support to managers on HR issues

· Competently manage and improve people processes at every stage of the employee lifecycle

· Report to the board on all people data and KPIs

· Proactively and progressively set and review company policy and objectives

About You:

As the HR Manager, you must have well-developed soft-skills, thrive on pulling people together, and be able to establish yourself as an influential member of the business.

To be considered as our next HR Manager, you will need:

· CIPD (or equivalent) qualification, and ideally educated to degree-level standard

· Proven track record in generalist HR and a sound understanding of strategic HRM

· Significant experience at HR Manager level

· Sound knowledge of employment law

· Excellent people skills with the ability to build strong rapport with colleagues

· Good commercial understanding with the ability to work in the best interests of both the staff and the company.
