About GMSL

We are the market leading provider of 24/7 energy portfolio management services and software in Europe. Our services and software are vital to many of the leading global energy companies.

We have around 100 staff, and currently no dedicated HR function. We need your help to support our people and improve our systems as we continue to expand.

Description

This is a new standalone role where you will be responsible for setting up and delivering an HR service to the company. You will proactively advise on best practice HR and adopt a hands-on approach in dealing with the HR requirements of the business.

A key function of your role will be to champion mental health support in the company and help to create a working environment where all employees feel safe, valued and supported.

General responsibilities will also include:

  • Developing effective HR policies and ensuring they are adhered to
  • Being the go-to person for managers and employees on HR advice
  • Helping and mentoring managers in the HR elements of their roles
  • Recruitment support (advertising roles, phone screening, scheduling interviews)
  • Managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Planning and running statutory and company policy training sessions
  • Payroll control and administration
  • Liaising with our parent company HR and taking part in Group HR events

You will also take an active role supporting managers with:

  • Setting staff goals and objectives
  • Personnel performance and salary reviews
  • Personnel HR matters – grievances, complaints, etc.
  • Monitoring and managing sickness and absence

About you:

  • CIPD qualified Level 5
  • Working knowledge of employment law
  • Good transactional HR skills
