Altum HR are a growing and ambitious Human Resources Consultancy supporting businesses in the UK and North America. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to support our HR Service to our portfolio of clients, Feeding into and supporting our Senior HR Consultant roles. This role will include client-facing activities including, Onsite visits, Communicating with clients and third parties, and facilitating, implementing, and administrating lower levels of HR process.
Further to hands-on work, the role will be instrumental in developing core documentation to fit the client’s needs including handbooks and policies, letters, and forms, and completing meeting minutes, as well as, Maintaining client records and HR Software. The role will be developmental with progress plans to develop into HR Consultancy, with the opportunity to Shadow the HR Consultants where appropriate to gain experience and knowledge.

Duties
  • Creation of Contacts, job descriptions, references, and other legally required employment documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate records on the internal systems and client HR Software systems.
  • Complete onboarding processes on behalf of our clients, including inductions, new starter documentation, ID checking, DBS check, organising Health assessments, etc.
  • Filing, scanning, and general office administration, Including the managing and accountability for confidential and data sharing with third parties
  • Ownership and development of client-owned systems such as pensions portals, benefit CRM systems, and Occupational Health referrals.
  • Typing and drafting minutes and meeting records, creating corresponding confirmation letters and document records.
  • Responding to initial email queries and forwarding them to the correct person to deal with where appropriate.
  • Answering the phones and providing basic HR support where knowledge allows and escalating where appropriate.
  • Drafting of process advice notes, using HR knowledge and appropriate risk assessment.

Requirements


Qualifications and educational skills
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade 4 upwards Essential
  • Outgoing and good communicator written and verbally
  • Good telephone manner
  • Presentable and polite
  • Organised and good time keeping
  • Confident and approachable
  • CIPD Level 3 as a minimum, with a view to developing further
  • Driving license
Desirable:
  • Experience in a Human Resources environment
