Our client, a long-established mining incorporation located near Boulby have a 6-month, fixed term, position available for a HR Generalist following a period of substantial growth. This role has potential to lead to longer term subject to future demand.

The purpose of the role is to support the HR team offering operational assistance across wider cross functional teams. This is a generalist role is designed to optimise the delivery of a pragmatic and people focused service that delivers a fair and consistent experience throughout the employment life cycle.

We are looking for someone who has a positive, flexible and people focused approach that can build good working relationships with a broad range of people whilst working in a confidential manner.

Key responsibilities:

• Reviewing, updating, and administering human resources policies and procedures
• Time and Attendance monitoring, up to and including return to work interviews and deployment of support systems
• Maintenance of employee records, via in house electronic systems
• Conducting people focused interviews, such as investigations and employee welfare
• Investigation of grievance and disciplinary cases, through the implementation of policy and process
• General administration, such as minute taking, drafting offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation
• Compliance of right to work checks

Experience:

• Minimum CIPD level 3 or qualified by experience

Background:

The role will suit someone with experience of working in a busy administration role providing excellent people focused solutions. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential along with a working knowledge of HR & Management Information Systems/databases.

Flexible working:

Our client is flexible and can offer the role on a full or part time basis, alongside the option of hybrid working. Start and finish times will be discussed at interview.

It is essential all applicants have their own means of transport due to the location of the mine.
