We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to lead the HR function at our Lichfield site which currently has circa 130 employees with an objective to double headcount within the next 5 years. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within a scale up environment and with a parent company relationship. We currently work on a hybrid model where the successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 3 days in the office, with occasional travel to our Burgess Hill office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the HR officer with scope to expand the HR team further in line with business growth
  • Provide HR advice on all related areas, including but not limited to, recruitment, people management, policy and procedure, workforce planning and employee engagement
  • Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Develop strong relationships with all levels across the organisation and driving positive company culture
  • Drive the appropriate actions from employee feedback around engagement and wellbeing
  • Support the Head of HR on projects as and when required
  • Ensure L&D fulfils the needs of the business, assess needs, identify improvements, coordinate and confidently deliver training
  • Act as a mentor to the management team, providing guidance on all policies and procedures, including grievance, disciplinary, performance/absence management
  • Create and suggest innovative solutions and strategies to drive the organisation forward to achieve its goals
  • Analyse and report on people data and trends, identifying process improvements
  • Coordinate monthly payroll and remuneration activity including annual salary reviews and performance bonus’

Requirements

  • Proven experience of running a HR function within a company of a similar size
  • Prior experience of leading and inspiring a HR team to promote best practice
  • CIPD level 7 qualified or equivalent
  • Experience in all areas of HR, including complex employee relations cases and disciplinary processes
  • Up to date understanding and expert knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Self-motivated, independent and able to work proactively while maintaining good communication with the Head of HR
