Human Resources Advisor

What you’ll do:

As a Human Resources Advisor, you’ll:

  • Deliver an effective HR service to the assigned business areas, assisting People Leaders to understand and implement policies and procedures and in line with best practice in people management
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Liaise closely with business leaders and managers to monitor HR practices and ensure compliance, providing professional advice and guidance
  • Lead in case management across your business areas, including attendance issues, performance management, grievance, restructures, redundancies and re-evaluation of posts in accordance with both policies and procedures
  • Ensure consistency and compliance with case management highlighting trends for the wider HR team learning
  • Support and liaise with Group HR when required with the development and implementation of HR policies and update Employee Handbooks and other documentation as appropriate. Ensure that policies are kept up to date
  • Support People Leaders in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues, including health and wellbeing
  • Manage the Maternity, Paternity, adoption and Flexible working requests for RRG business units
  • Ensure all enquiries are expedited effectively and appropriately
  • Lead on the production of Board reports (statistical and written) on a regular basis on such topics as employee engagement, sickness absence, turnover, analysing trends and highlighting improvement opportunities to the Head of HR and Heads of Business

What you’ll need:

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Chartered or Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or relevant qualification
  • Commercially aware
  • Committed to CPD
  • Focused and highly motivated
  • Planning/prioritising and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiating and mediation skills
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Knowledge and understanding of various sectors of the Group
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
