Key Accountabilities:
- Manages and coordinates Hub Operational activities to ensure the safe, timely and cost effective processing of shipments.
- Supervises the timely build up and departure of material in line with vehicle schedules.
- Directs and ensures shipments are handled in accordance with established company, regulatory and airline policy & procedures - Global Standard Operating Platform (Global SOP) & Global Aviation Procedure & Standards (GAPS).
- Communicate with local management (Network Control, Ramp, Line haul, Exports, and Sort) to ensure that Hub & Gateway requirements are met at all times.
- Clearly communicate operational, procedural and policy updates to all staff in an accurate & timely manner.
- Coordinate with EU Road Operations, Network Planning, NCG and external contractors such as Leonardo and RapidScan.
- Liaison with Operations Sort Management team to make real time auto Sort adjustments based on dynamic changes during the Sort Operation
- Act as the escalation point for the Operations team regarding unresolved Autosort enquiries/issues within a timely manner.
- Problem solve the auto-sort
- Ensure 100% planned connectivity to all destinations services by EMA Hub.
- Analysing volume flows, shipment routings, country operations effectiveness and Hub & Gateway effectiveness.
- Manage and communicate any and all changes during the operational window, coordinating between Ramp, Truck Watch, ULD control and Operations.
- Act as the primary liaison for operations team and take responsibility for the communication of all other auto sort enquiries/issues.
- Track all flow stops for the auto sorter and provide the information to the relevant department.
- Coordinate all changes, communications and troubleshooting through the Hub Operations Control Team.
- Monitor Capacity Control Planning for the Network
Line Management responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a motivated workforce through timely feedback and regular one to one’s.
- Plan resource requirements in accordance to nightly and seasonal volume changes as well as business growth.
