HR & Training Officer

You will be the first point of contact for all HR & Training related topics, responsible for the HR deliverables to departments, will be the go to person for the HR function. Effective organisational, communication and diplomacy skills are essential.

Key HR Responsibilities:

  • Be a key ambassador for our vision, values and ethics, working with employees and managers to showcase best practice and make corrections when needed.
  • First HR contact for all employee related questions or concerns.
  • Provide accurate, consistent and proactive advice, guidance and support to employees and managers.
  • Partner with managers or supervisors to conduct investigations, disciplinaries and performance issues as needed.
  • Manage all the HR administration
  • Manage the Occupational Health process, work with our occupational health provider to provide services in line with the Health Screening Policy including, reviewing who needs tests carried out in compliance with the policy, Booking the occupational health visits, and being the key contact for the occupational health whilst onsite.
  • Be the champion of our UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) system, ensuring the accuracy of the data held and the data entered and identify developments areas to meet the needs of the business.
  • Provide content for approval for the UKG “News and Information” and “Company Information” section and the interactive TV screens.
  • Analyse all HR trends including exit interview data, discipline, grievance, capacities PIPs etc.
  • Present trends to the leadership team and the Recruitment specialist on a monthly presentation slide.
  • Guardian of our environmental, social and governance principles (ESG) working with our partners at INW corporate and leaders at Bee Health to ensure compliance.
  • Create an employee activity, event program to aid awareness and team spirit around the social, health & wellness of our employees. (Breast cancer awareness or prostate cancer awareness months etc.)

Key Training Responsibilities:

  • Provide training to employees as directed by the L&D, Executive Project Manager including:
  • On the job, short take training within departments to employees
  • Induction / Orientation training with new hires, including second inductions held at their 60 day point.
  • Work with the Learning & Development Manager to keep the skills matrix up to date and relevant.

This role will work hand in hand with the Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist and will provide support and assistance when needed to each other. Bee Health is a 24/7 operation and although this role has core office hours, there are times when work outside of these hours will be required. Person specification

  • Good understanding of current UK employment law, best practice and ACAS guidelines.
  • Be system savvy, being able to understand and manage a complex HR systems.
  • Two years of experience working in a generalist HR role.
  • FMCG Food Manufacturing environments experience is desirable.
  • Ideally trained to CIPD level 5 to 7 (Membership not required)
  • Proven experience in employee relations (non-unionised)
  • This role requires someone with good communication skills and who is keen to assist people within the business.
  • Strong and proven attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
