The Colleges’ Partnership are recruiting an HR and SMT Assistant to join our HR Team in Blandford Forum, providing administrative support to HR and the Strategic Management Team (SMT).

The post is full time (37 hours per week), and is based at our Head Office in Blandford Forum, with a flexible approach to partial home working.

This post is ideal for those looking to continue development of their HR career. This is a generalist HR postition and you will be supported in your development through the CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management, or the CIPD Level 5 Apprenticeship scheme.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Administrative support to HR and the SMT
  • Maintainance of employee records, both paper and electronic
  • Monitoring of employee data
  • Preparation of HR documents
  • Support and advice to managers with incoming HR queries, with support of the HR Manager as needed
  • Liaising with Payroll and Finance to ensure the seamless operation of pay
  • Participation and assistance with HR projects, recruitment, ER cases, and change management
  • Act as minute secretary to the SMT, providing secretarial support including agendas and distribution of papers
  • Management and deconfiction of SMT calendars

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • CIPD Level 3, or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to work towards CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management
  • 5 GCSEs grade 4-9 (or equivalent), including Maths, English, and IT
  • MS Office competence
  • An intuative response to new tasks, with a creative approach to problem solving
  • The ability to work autonomously, to prioritise own workload
  • Flexible and able to cope under pressure
