At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

We are recruiting for a HR & Recruitment Officer.
The role will be offered flexibly with hybrid office/remote working.

You’ll be responsible for providing recruitment and generalist support by managing the end to end people lifecycle as part of a small EY Riverview Law talent team to both managers and our most important asset, our people. You’ll work closely with the HR & Talent Leader and will be key in helping drive our recruitment and people strategy.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and highly organised HR generalist who has recruitment experience and is looking for a fast-paced and varied role.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations including talent activities across the people lifecycle: recruit, onboard, develop, reward, retain and exit support.
  • Working with our Hiring Managers to drive the coordination and delivery of recruitment campaigns via our applicant tracking system.
  • Knowledge of direct sourcing methods including LinkedIn and job boards.
  • Maintain employee records in line with Core HR processes, issuing amendments to employees as appropriate.
  • Update and maintain the HR data management software support system including holiday and absence management.
  • Communicate, update and maintain the company benefit schemes.
  • Initial contact for employee relation matters, consulting with key stakeholders to resolve issues, coaching managers in EY process and best practise, and escalating more complex matters to the HR & Talent Leader where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with our business policies, best HR practice and employment legislation at all times.
  • Complete payroll actions to ensure accurate payroll processing and eradication of errors.
  • Provide HR related reports and MI to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support in Talent vendor management and onboarding.
  • Contribute to deliverables of the D&I strategy as part of the D&I committee, driving cultural change and belonging.
  • Represent the HR/Talent team, workstreams and projects in relevant committees and project teams.
  • Support Talent Learning and Development including delivering training to managers and staff on Recruitment and HR related topics, policy and process.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Relevant HR and recruitment related experience.
  • Be working towards or hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification.
  • Able to plan and manage time effectively and flex up and down to deal with key priorities.
  • Relationship building skills to become a trusted, key business partner to your stakeholders.
  • Resilient, pragmatic and a self-starter comfortable with working independently.
  • Demonstrate calm and objectivity when under pressure.
  • Cultural awareness to work in globally dispersed teams and with networks across diverse geographies.
  • Experience in the professional services sector is desirable but not essential.

What we look for

More than anything, EY Riverview Law is interested in people with the right attitude for the role. You will be a high performer, who consistently delivers quality work whilst continually looking for ways to improve.

You will have a clear sense of personal and professional accountability and know how to build relationships by doing the right thing. You will be good at listening, learning, sharing, developing and collaborating.

You will understand the challenges of working in a professional services environment and will be focused on achieving and delivering the best for our people and our clients.
