Are you an experienced HR Project Manager looking for an opportunity to work on a high profile, complex transformation project? We are offering a full time, long term fixed term opportunity for 18 months duration in a supportive HR team and based near Yeovil.

Your Role

You’ll be supporting the transition for our aerospace customer from a number of smaller sites to one larger single site with a provisional go live date in late 2023. This role is critical to the transition and will involve strategic HR planning, organising and change implementation to reach the desirable future state (all the while ensuring business continuity). As HR Project Manager, you will support all people related processes, ensuring high standard of delivery as well as being accountable for other key HR activities that may impact the transition to ensure that employees are engaged and enthused to join our journey.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project plan to enable the transition of staff to the new site within the timescales; plan projects from start to completion involving budgets, deadlines, milestones and processes.
  • Outline a strategic framework for the transition and manage customer and stakeholder expectation and engagement.
  • Identifying, understanding and mitigating all forms of cost and risk that occur during the period of change.
  • Provide professional HR advice to managers across a range of issues relating to the transition.
  • Interpret and advise on employment legislation and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Advise on organisational structure, pay and grading issues including grading assessments and job evaluation; ensure all HR activity is appropriately recorded and monitored.
  • Responsible for preparing management information and reports required for reporting to the senior leadership team and develop robust communications to ensure our teams understand any decisions that directly affect them - employee experience and inclusion must be at the heart of decision making.
  • Develop relationships with Trade Union and other representative groups to build a partnership approach to managing the transition.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Extensive experience of managing complex and large projects; this role requires thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods such as Prince and Scrum/Agile.
  • Ability to scope, plan, coordinate and manage the process of transitioning colleagues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; an ability to communicate, network and to establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Significant exposure of people change projects, organisational design, restructuring, TUPE, redundancy and consultation processes.
  • Analytical and the ability to provide recommendations based on various data sets.
  • Ability to communicate, network, and to establish and maintain productive working relationships with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • This role will be site based (Yeovil) due to the scope of the project with some travel to smaller sites across the South West.
  • The successful candidate will need to undergo security clearance.
