I am working with a great organisation in Blackburn who are looking for a HR & Payroll Officer to join their fantastic team. This role will be reporting into the HR Manger and is a great opportunity to be a part of a busy function and get exposure to different elements of HR.

  • Support and work with the wider HR team to ensure the smooth running of the function.
  • Support the administration of new employee offers.
  • Assist with the onboarding process of new employees.
  • Update the HR system with employee changes, e.g., adding/removing employees, address changes etc.
  • Complete end-to-end payroll processing for the UK.
  • Be the first line of contact for handling employee’s payroll and any queries they may have.
  • SSP,SMP,SPP and similar calculations & deductions.
  • Create and maintain electronic and hard copy personnel files.
  • Support the administration of offboarding employees.
  • Run monthly annual leave and absence reports.
  • Administer employee benefits, including adding/removing employees as required.
  • Administer and monitor Risk Management and Compliance Training.
  • Note take in HR meetings when required.

Must have…

  • Payroll experience
  • 2 years’ experience working in payroll & HR.
  • Be a clear communicator.
  • Able to deal with any stakeholder within the business.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
