A vacancy has arisen for a HR Officer based at the Sawley site between Gisburn & Clitheroe. We are looking for a determined and committed individual who can work as part of an ambitious Human Resources Team. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with some relevant experience who wishes to develop a successful career in HR.
Key duties include:
- Responsible for the site Disciplinary and Grievance Processes.
- Responsible for absence management from reporting, to conducting Absence Disciplinary Hearings.
- Collating and distributing statistical and management information and reports as required.
- Co-ordination of the Colleague of the Month Scheme for the site.
- Championing employee engagement on site thorough areas such as the co-ordination of the Employee Forum, taking minutes and ensuring staff reps are kept up to date with issues affecting the site.
- Performance Management including responsibility for probation reviews and annual appraisals.
- Supporting with the recruitment and selection processes, including collating applications, organising interviews, attending interviews and taking notes and communicating interview outcomes.
- Supporting with site Inductions and delivery of training.
- Supporting the HR Manager on projects and staff welfare initiatives.
The Person:
- Have some experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a manufacturing environment and appropriately qualified, for example CIPD and/ or related degree or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisation skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
- Able to work on own initiative, but to also as a team member.
- Able to maintain a professional manner with a high attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel.
- The ability to speak other languages would be an advantage.
