Would you like to be instrumental to shaping our HR Function? As the HR Manager at Steps to Work you will be instrumental in supporting the creation of an innovative HR Function which will contribute to the success of our Charity and the successful commercial recruitment business which we own and which provides most of our funding.

So what will you be doing?
- You will motivate and anage the HR Team of 4 to ensure a quality HR Service is delivered to support the business objectives
- You will work closely with Line Managers supporting them with strategic HR expertise in areas such as, engagement, retention, performance, development, recruitment, comp and bens and employee relations
- You will be passionate about coaching Managers and Team Leaders on all aspects of leading, motivating and developing their teams
- You will create a HR Strategy and support and guide the Senior Leadership Team with the development and implementation of people initiatives
- Be responsible for ensuring all of our policies and procedures are up to date and user friendly and implement initiatives to roll these out to the company at all levels
- Be responsible for resourcing initiatives from sourcing, and interviewing to ensuring effective onboarding
- Lead our internal communications, ensuing information and detail is value-added and understood
To be successful in this role we’re looking for the following skills:
- Significant experience gained at HRM/Senior HRBP level at least 3-4 years
- Strong generalist HR experience in resourcing, learning & development, performance management, employee relations and internal communications
- You’ll be capable of influencing and partnering with key business stakeholders and managers and have the ability to connect and engage at all levels of the business
- You will have the confidence to ’push back’ if needed to ensure HR best practice
- You will be able to demonstrate your ability in managing challenging HR/ER issues
- You will ideally have CIPD Level 5 and be working towards Level 7
