We are looking for an experienced HR professional to add to our growing HR team. This is a new role in the US business with which the ideal candidate will demonstrate both operational and strategic HR experience and want to continue to build and develop their generalist expertise, whilst working with an engaging and collaborative team. The purpose of the role is to lead the HR operation in our US business in conjunction with supporting the implementation of the Global HR strategy in the US business. The ability to manage change, ensure effective delivery and build relationships will be key to ensuring the achievement of Croud’s strategic goals through people management practices in our US arm.

As part of our ongoing growth plan, we are seeking to broaden our internal expertise through the appointment of an experienced Human resource generalist. The role would suit someone from an SME background who is comfortable dealing with operational activity as well as being strategic in their approach. You should be comfortable with pace and passion to deliver results in high impact results in an evolving and growing business environment.

Responsibilities
  • Drive alignment between the global hr strategy and operational goals in the US. Be responsible for the end to end coordination of the US HR operation, alongside the global teams, championing and leading on the employee experience in line with the global HR strategy.
  • Lead and manage the US day to day people operations with a key driver of establishing local HR processes that align to the global strategy, responding to employees in a timely and approachable manner
  • Manage our internal recruiter providing coaching and development in the generalist space.
  • Take ownership and oversight of the Justworks System (Benefits Administration) employee records in the system and other HR admin as well as Data Protection and GDPR compliance.
  • Provide HR Business Partner support to the MD, VP’s and Directors.
  • Contribute as a member of the USMT through collaboration with the team and implementation of the global HR strategy.
  • Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, redundancy escalating to the Global HRD where required
  • Design and engage employee experience frameworks to ensure the right policies, processes and solutions are in place to enable managers to engage and motivate employees. Key areas of focus include wellbeing, inclusion & diversity, performance management and culture.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Manager in delivering our talent acquisition strategy in order to widen the harmonization of best practice recruitment. This will include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and screening candidates, and providing advice on recruitment and selection strategies.
  • Lead the talent attraction and retention agenda delivering a particular focus on learning and development in conjunction with the Global Training Team and ensuring that the appropriate strategies are deployed to both attract and retain industry talent.
  • Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment and knowledge and share best practices with them. Have proficiency in performance management and coaching managers on the appropriate steps to take
  • Work with local leadership to provide support in all change management and restructuring tasks.
  • Operational Tasks will include all tasks associated with the entire employee lifecycle journey including workforce planning, recruitment and selection, induction, training, reward, performance, conduct, exit interviews. Be the first point of contact on all HR matters and people issues locally.
  • Manage talent and succession planning with the respective line managers ensuring all appraisals happen in a timely manner, in addition to ensuring that personal development plans are completed and that SMART objectives are set.
  • Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes.
  • Liaise with Head of HR, Operations and ensure payroll records are submitted whilst ensuring that accounts are apprised of any changes. Manage and maintain a range of employee benefits for US-based employees. Provide first-line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers.
  • Ensure that all US policies and procedures are kept up to date with information and legislation changes.
  • Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Produce reports and key metrics to drive and support business decisions.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as commensurate with your role.

  • Proven track record as an HR generalist in a mid-senior role.

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
