Well, this role reports to a recently appointed Head of HR, offers the ideal first move into a partnering role and, if you’re fan of the recent Top Gun film you’ll not be disappointed when going to the office.HR Business PartnerUp to £40,000PermanentSleafordHybrid 50/50Supporting this business of just under 200 people, you will occupy the number 2 role in the small HR team - taking the lead on day to day HR support while also working on several projects and proactive initiatives. You’ll support head office functions and a core workforce of engineers, some of which are in a unionised environment, but all of whom are experts in their field. You’ll join a business that has a culture of autonomy and flexibility but where you’ll need to help develop management capability and empower leaders within the business. You’ll support on ER matters, elevate business performance through supporting on talent, success, performance and recognition.As the Head of HR looks to make a mark and elevate the HR offering, you’ll take the lead on various initiatives, likely to include basics such as overhauling the employee handbook and updating policies, through to creating a well-being strategy and reviewing the talent strategy and methods of attraction. You’ll engage in cyclical activities such as pay and talent review and will also act as a coach to more junior HR colleagues.The business operates across a few sites in the UK so there will be occasional travel required to the 2 sites away from the HO location - these trips are fully expensed and tend to be good social occasions when they happen, gibing opportunities to build stronger relationships with key stakeholders, but also enjoyable and good for the soul.Who are we looking for?You’re probably an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor at the moment, with experience working in a commercial environment and have the confidence to work with autonomy and build relationships. You’ll have a handle on the core generalist requirements of an HR Advisor role but looking to expand your experience in project delivery, or looking to fill some of your gaps in areas such as talent or reward. You’ll need to be able to get to the office 2-3 days a week and be comfortable with the occasional travel elsewhere.
