Our Futures Division was set up in January 2022 to accelerate our growth plans. It is focused on anticipating and delivering future growth opportunities arising from two key trends in the construction industry: sustainability and a new wave of industrialisation of the construction processes .Initial focus has been on delivering fa?ade products and solutions adapted to the needs of the fast-growing offsite and modular construction markets in the UK. Ibstock Futures will target both the new build and re-cladding markets, with products suitable for a wide range of residential, commercial and mixed-use applications.

As our HR Business Lead, you will partner our Futures MD and his leadership group, commercially and operationally to balance delivery of a strategic people plan to establish a highly effective team. Operating as a true HR leader, you will coach and engage senior stakeholders, ensuring that people are at the heart of everything we do - ensuring a diverse and inclusive culture, where we can fire up all employees to achieve their full potential.

You will quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the Futures organisation and its market context, influencing the necessary levers to create this part of the organisation as a start up within a PLC through organic growth and M&A activity.

With the ability to partner and stand-alone, you will thrive navigating ambiguity, working at pace and demonstrate a growth mindset, agile to your environment.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis - and can be based from our Ibstock, Leicestershire Head Office, or iStudio - London.

Key Skills/Experience
  • Business and Commercial Acumen with the ability to understand and influence the levers of high performance
  • Credible business partner with a proven track record of activism, coaching/developing and driving performance through people
  • A good understanding of Talent and how to identify and develop
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and champion positive action in order to improve diversity within the business with a good level of knowledge and experience on this subject.
  • Understand how to assess current and future organisational capability needs, able to work with the relevant specialist to develop and implement solutions that drive business improvements.
  • Ability to effectively analyse data, to draw key insights from this in order to determine actions to help the business improve
  • Knowledge of leading people practices across all areas of the HR profession in order to create a great employee experience.
  • Experience of how to effectively enable and embed organisational change
  • Understanding of UK Employment legislation and company policies, and able to assess and manage the organisational impact of changes in employment law.
