Are you an experienced administrator looking to start a career in HR?
TC Group is growing rapidly and have a fantastic opportunity for an administrator to join the team. As an HR Assistant, you will be provided with excellent career progression and optional CIPD study support. The role will grow and develop over time and give you the opportunity to ‘make it your own’.
When you join our team, you’ll have the option of joining an apprenticeship scheme and enjoy a powerful combination of on-the-job learning and structured CIPD training. Reporting to the HR Director and joining a small but extremely successful HR team, this role is a pivotal part of the team and company.

What can you expect?
At TC, you’ll be a key member of our team from day one. You’ll get involved in working with Partners and Senior Managers very quickly and given individual responsibility for delivering services to them.
You can expect to be managing new starter and leaver processes, updating monthly payroll documentation and checking payslips, monitoring sickness records, managing contractual changes and employee life cycle tasks for 300+ staff, database management and supporting the HR Director with projects.
Alongside hands-on experience, you’ll benefit from on-the-job training from more senior members of the team and gain access to our internal training courses that will help you develop in the role.
When you join this team, you can work towards a formal HR qualification if you wish, as well as receiving on the job training and access to a mentor, preparing you for your next step in your career.
You will be involved in processing contractual and payroll information where speed, accuracy and delivering an excellent service are all critical.

What we look for
We’re on the lookout for hardworking self-starters with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
HR can be technically demanding, with frequent regulatory changes, so you need to be able to pick new concepts up quickly and also change priorities quickly. It’s important you also have confidence with formatting documentation and numbers and great attention to detail. You’ll need to build relationships with senior managers, so need to be confident when talking to new people. In addition, you will be motivated, able to work independently and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
You will have a good educational background, excellent IT skills and have previous experience of working within an administrative role in a high volume, fast paced organisation (previous HR / payroll experience is an advantage).

The Package:
A generous remuneration package includes:

  • £16,000 – £22,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • study support on an apprenticeship scheme (optional)
