Must Haves
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Assistant
  • Awareness of & commitment to understanding Employment Law/ACAS Codes of Practice
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practice
  • Awareness of GDPR requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related HRIS, business and communication tools
  • Able to work on own initiative and make decisions as appropriate to the role
Bonus points
  • Preferably Diploma/Degree qualified or a willingness to commit to further study
Day to DayAs an HR Assistant you will support the Human Resource Business Partners (HRBP’s) and work as an integral part of the HR function to assist HRBP’s with all people processes. The role requires you to accurately follow instructions, with the ability to multitask and acclimatize to a fast-paced environment whilst supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR function. You will use your problem solving and decision-making skills to help provide guidance on HR Policies and Procedures with a solid understanding of employee relationships, processes, policies and procedures. The role will be working with other business functions and external partners as required for example liaising as required with internal teams such as Payroll, Talent Acquisition, L&D, Finance, Comps & Bens, etc. The role would be ideally suited to someone with aspirations to become an HRBP in the future and to develop within Cigna.
