We are looking for someone who is highly organised, approachable, flexible and who displays excellent communication and administration skills. The role requires working at pace and the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure. You will be proactive and able to work independently, whilst being able to identify opportunities to support the wider team when needed. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable person, who brings integrity, imagination and energy to play a vital role within a dedicated team of staff.

Previous HR experience would be an advantage although it is not essential.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. A 7:30am start would be preferred, but we can be flexible for the right candidate, and actual hours can be agreed on appointment. We offer a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 25 days per year, increasing based on length of service and grade. This role is paid on Single Status Grade 5, currently £21,968 - £22,368 per annum.

We are a mixed 11–18 non-selective converter academy with approximately 835 students. Uplands Academy converted to an Academy in September 2022 and became a member of the MARK Education Trust (formerly Beacon Community College Academy Trust). The acronym MARK was selected because staff who work in the trust are motivated, ambitious, resourceful, and knowledgeable. This partnership will provide many exciting opportunities for professional development, and the sharing of good practice across the two schools. This is the start of a new era for Uplands and an excellent time to join our thriving rural school.
