We have an exciting new opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our growing team. The team operates on a hybrid working basis, working from both home and our head office in Birkenhead.

You will be required to provide support with employee relation cases, including sickness absence meetings, performance management, flexible working and any other tasks as required in line with policies and procedures. You will also ensure the HR management system is kept up to date with any staffing changes and send written confirmation of any changes to relevant staff members.

You will also be responsible for recruitment processing, ensuring our safer recruitment process is adhered to and that candidates in recruitment are processed in a proactive manner.

With exceptional organisational and communication skills, you will need to be flexible in order to meet varying deadlines as required by other members of the team, whilst managing your own workload.

As we are a national charity based in both England and Wales, travel may be required from time to time.

The successful applicant will be supported by NYAS in obtaining a CIPD Level 5 qualification.

For more information, please refer to the attached job description and person specification below. We actively encourage applications from care-leavers.

In your application, you will need to evidence, using specific examples, how your skills and experience meet the criteria laid out in the person specification, within the job description attached.

NYAS operates robust safe procedures to ensure the protection of the children, young people and adults at risk we work with. To comply with NYAS’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, references and a Digital Risk Assessment.
