HR Recruiter & Advisor – Eastbourne- 12 month FTC

A generalist role with a heavy focus on supporting recruitment, which will provide support and guidance to the site management team in all recruitment matters.

To drive recruitment activity at the Eastbourne site, guiding through the process and supporting best practice. Ensuring we attract the best candidates and process their applications in a timely manner.

Support the HR team and the recruitment function in Eastbourne for roles across the site including Engineering and the shop floor. Whilst being on hand as an extra resource, for generalist HR matters where appropriate.

Responsibilities include

  • Partnering with line managers to guide and support recruitment best practice, driving timely progression of candidates
  • Be the subject matter expert on HR Link / Recruiter and guide managers on its use
  • Support managers in creation of appropriate JD’s for replacement roles and passing to HRM for new roles
  • Make sure roles are advertised appropriately, internally, externally and with agencies
  • Responsible for the PSL and engagement with recruitment agencies
  • First line screening of new candidates and ensuring applications are processed in a timely fashion and HR Link remains up to date.
  • Drive the screening process, ensuring skills matched with reasonable minimum requirements
  • Ensure appropriate and fair screening processing in place
  • Maintain awareness of all interviews undertaken on behalf of Eastbourne PC
  • Support with HR competency Interviews
  • Ensure that all supporting paperwork and feedback for interviews is captured
  • Guide on job offers and ensure they are in line with internal marketplace and grading
  • Drive the offer approval process, safeguard adherence to Prokura and ensure they are processed in a timely fashion
  • Own the offer to candidate process and manage all negotiations
  • Initiate the onboarding process and liaise with the admin team
  • Report weekly and monthly on recruitment activity
  • Support all site based temporary and contract recruitment, ensuring all adhere for policy and practice
  • Work closely with HR Admin and Global Mobility with onboarding candidates
  • Working closely with the HR manager to support recruitment strategy across the site
  • Own and support all recruitment processes and policy.
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices and in particular support the HR Link
  • Work with HR advisors and HRM, where headcount is or will be affected
  • To respond to requests for management and numerical information as required
  • To support the HR Manager, Divisional HR Business Partners and wider team in the delivery of HR elements of organizational and cultural change activities such as, restructure, including assisting with preparing necessary documentation, keeping records, tracking actions and ensuring that data is accurate
  • Participate in internal and external audits of the HR function as required.
  • Assist with project work as determined by the HR Manager.

Key Skills/Academic Qualifications/Experience

  • Solid recruitment experience and knowledge
  • Up to date knowledge of appropriate employment legislation in relation to recruitment
  • Some HR Generalist experience would be desirable but is not essential
  • Experience of operating within a continuously changing and evolving environment
  • A proactive attitude, good communication skills and be able to prioritise and multitask
