Location: Jarrow, Hybrid working (3 days in Jarrow branch and 2 days home working)

Role: To deliver case management advice to line managers, supporting them through complex people matters with a focus on gaining the best outcomes for both the business and the individual.

Focus: Applicants with considerable experience of complex TUPE transfers would be welcomed, as the business acquires, a large number of contracts and staff into their workforce from other employers.

Team: You will be working as part of a large HR team, delivering an exciting generalist role in a fast paced and high growth environment. The team is supportive to each other to ensure the demanding workload is managed successfully and enjoyably.

Candidate: Confident in your approach to make decisions and support managers to make sometimes, difficult people decisions. With a minimum of 3 years HR Advisor experience in a multisite organisation, CIPD qualified (or part), experience of complex TUPE transfers and the ability to work independently on case load.

Key areas of the role will be:

TUPE / Projects – Support line managers with the transfers of employment under TUPE regulations, including requesting and reviewing due diligence information, attendance at consultation meeting, preparation of letters to employees relating to the transfers. Support HR Projects for example – within the HR department of the mandatory immunisation programme.

Employment Law – Provide expert advice with mindfulness to the organisations polices, legislation and best practice, offering a business-focused resolution to complex HR cases. Keep up-to-date with current issues and matters in the organisation related to HR department and interpret and advise on employment legislation.

Case Load – Manage a personal portfolio of cases, scheduling and prioritising activities based on the needs of each case and applicable deadlines or timescales.

Support the Head of HR Services to develop, monitor and review polices. Provide support to managers regarding staff performance review programs, support managers with absence management matters, support staff through coaching and the delivery of training to line managers on a range of HR related topics.
