MPLOY is looking to source a permanent HR Advisor for a valued client in Dorchester, Dorset.

  • is an experienced Human Resources Admin or Officer looking for their next opportunity within a highly supportive charity. Ideally, you’ll hold a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification such as Foundation Certificate in People Practice (L3) or Associate Diploma in People Management(L5) alongside relevant industry or outsourced experience. Experience is essential for our client with qualification preferrable.
  • is an articulate communicator with a strong command of the English language (written and spoken) – minimum GCSE Grade C or higher in English & Maths is sought by our client.
  • ideally has worked in a multi departmental team with external stakeholder/agency involvement.
  • is comfortable with sensitive/difficult conversations in a pressurised environment.
  • is experienced working within processes, policies and procedures.
  • is system & IT savvy. Although our client will teach you all of their in house software, competence in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher is sought.
  • is a friendly/people person who is customer obsessed. Expect to put service users & employees at the heart of your work.
  • is flexible, responsible & professional.
  • can multitask and work to deadline.
  • is: resilient; a ‘go getter’; discreet; can follow instruction; highly trustworthy; honest & confident.
  • is a team player who knows when to escalate. Expect to work within a small HR team under our client’s Governance Director & HR Manager. You’ll work with all internal stakeholders and support key departments such as Admin, Operations, Quality & Development, Payroll and Finance.
  • wants to be pivotal in our client’s HR & Governance provision, within the charity. In post expect to:
  • manage employee relations & advocate/enforce HR policies/procedures. Expect to address employee relation matters/incidents & manage absence, performance, grievance & disciplinary events/processes.
  • prepare & safely distribute relevant documentation such as new starter packs & employee letters (including maternity, absence without leave, exhaustion of statutory sick pay, payroll overpayment & probation passes/extensions).
  • gather important data for KPI & leaver reporting and monitor staff uptake of offered benefits.
  • act as a helpful point of contact to all internal stakeholder enquiries (policies, benefits, processes etc).
  • manage correspondence effectively including templating. You’ll manage a HR email inbox triaging emails as needed & responding within service level agreement with effective/helpful advice.
  • manage data sensitively in a compliant manner with GDPR & Data Protection Act principles/best practices. You’ll maintain staff files on our client’s human resource management software adding relevant files as needed.
  • support internal HR projects including audits, staff surveys, compliance checks etc.
  • deliver & support training sessions to key internal stakeholders.
  • arrange and attend key HR meetings including employee consultations.
  • support with charity wide event planning.
  • arrange certain employee benefits such as occupational health checks, eye tests etc.
  • take HR meeting minutes.
  • advocate for our client as a Brand Ambassador with external stakeholders.
